It's over when I'm done wasting my time watching Chaika and actually bother to write up a proper "the bads exploded you are winner congratulate" thing.
But yes that would conclude the mission.
alright

I'm not landing at Valhalla Airbase btw

The wheels of the Hornet's landing gear screech as they make contact with the paved surface of the runway, skidding to a complete stop much further down the tarmac. I open the all-but shattered canopy and climb down from my immensely battered Hornet, getting my bearings together as emergency personnel start pouring onto the runway.

Obrad is picked up by NAUC troops and taken back to Valhalla Airbase.

SAR choppers fly me back to base.

yall nerds keep getting shot down
as of 10 am mountain time tomorrow i'm gone for a week
sorry mates

My Hornet is towed off the runway by a truck as a medic shines a light in my eye- probably to check for concussions before moving to open her medical kit. I grab the medic's wrist and stare her down. "I'm fine." I release her wrist, she scoffs as she walks off somewhere else. A NAUC officer, a young-looking guy sporting a flak vest and a helmet, walks up to the back of the ambulance, tossing me my flight bag. "Hello Captain, they said that your plane won't be ready until tomorrow morning." He nods over at my Hornet.  "I've already told your C.O at Valhalla that you won't be there until tomorrow." He motions for me to follow him, so I scoot off of the bumper of the ambulance and follow him to a Humvee. I get in the passenger's side with my flight bag, put on my seatbelt as the officer drives us to the front of a fairly-well guarded building. Judging from the look of the emplacements and fortifications here, it was probably the impromptu quarters for at least a small portion of the allied forces stationed to guard the city, the building itself was probably re-purposed from an old hotel.

He directs me to a disused, but well-kept floor of the building. "You'll pretty much be alone on this floor, I hope that isn't a problem."
"That's fine." I reply, waving him away. I locked the door to the room and took a shower- stripping down completely. Looking in the mirror afterwards; only a few could have guessed that I was the person in that little polaroid photo. I wrapped my chest in bandages again and got dressed before getting my ID, wallet, and a radio. I holstered my Five-Seven (sidearm) and walked to a little store down the street, they sold a variety of items there, but I went ahead and bought a little Kintharian doll in a Raptor's costume. I walked back to the improvised barracks and settled down for the night after eating and chatting with a few NAUC infantrymen in a cafe.

tl;dr; waiting for plane to get repaired at city we were supposed to defend before going back to base.

I shoot two rockets at 8 different planes WITH A COOL DOWN TIME IN BETWEEN SO I TARGET AND SHOOT 8 MISSILES OKAY?!

or uh

wait we can only shoot 6 with the MMS.
but you said 8 targets.

i am confused

You have TWO PODS of SIX MISSILES.
Each firing sequence shoots six missiles.
Six and six is twelve.
Therefore one "full salvo" is twelve missiles.
Those twelve missiles can be distributed among up to eight targets.
Meaning you could do something like, two missiles each for six planes. Or three missiles each for four planes. Or four missiles each for three planes. Or even go wild and just target eight different planes and see how many missiles go after each one.
This is not rocket science, this is basic math with a little bit of reading comprehension.

should you decide to fire all of your missiles at eight planes

four will have one missile coming after them
four will have two missiles coming after them

so who's still in the air?

"forget!" I bank up at an almost 90 degree angle. "I'm gonna RTB."
I turn back for the base. I land at the base, and park my plane. I get out and look at the bullet riddled surface.
"I'm suprised I made it."

You are over 600 kilometers from base unless you mean the civilian airstrip like four kilometers away
