also what is some good gear i should get now-ish? i have chain set, boar helm, drake sword (<3), and knights shield (though i switched to the spider shield for better poison resistance wtf blighttown)

and for armor just wear anything real men don't even use it :^)

sometimes, if i need high poise, i invested in endurance so i can mediumroll in havels armor. i usually do that

So I just got Darksouls 2, and while I was really good at the first one, I kinda suck at this. The combat is all messed up, and there's even less direction of where you're supposed to go, with too many different possible paths. At least in the first one, it was fairly obvious which way you were supposed to go, and you could follow a general route. Idk maybe I just need to get used to it, but so far i'm not liking it too much

yea but it took me 15 minutes to figure out which way was the right way. and even longer to figure out how to level up. I do like that you can use the souls of restless undead more than one at a time, and arrows shoot straighter than in the first. But overall I just don't like it so far. Maybe when i build more momentum I'll start enjoying it more

in ds2 i forget isn't there another fisty fist weapon

I don't think you need to go down there just yet, run over to Undead Burg first.

If you want to stay down in New Londo Ruins, you might want to pick up/use one Transient Curse to be able to damage the ghosts.
