OT: Last time i fought the moonlight butterfly it never used the beam. and i was able to dodge the shotgun attack a few times.

also, is it worth going down the great tree in blighttown?

If you're okay with putting up with black basilisks, the mushroom people, winding pathways and the chance to fall to your death, yes. There's around 10 crystal lizards there and if you're quick you can come out with plenty of materials. Ash lake is lacking in a few areas, but there's a decent PVP covenant there, so if you're looking for PVP, go for it.

only if you want to fight another hydra, get into a covenant, or have completed (up to this point) Seigmeyer's storyline

well the first hydra wasn't all that difficult. All I had to do was get close, it did its melee thing and i just took out heads. each head took only 2 hits with my halberd

ash lake hydra isnt all that bad

just have to maintain melee range, but if youre not asking for a spar then outrunning it proves a bit difficult since it always propels itself across the opposite side of the lake

he was dying to hollow soldiers

he dropped 600k souls and was carrying a demon king greataxe

also the character i invaded him with is only level 21
