Author Topic: Why don't we have a food that includes all vitamins we need?  (Read 5842 times)

Really, you guys just need to try it. You can't really taste the spinach or kale at all - you do realize just how overpowering the flavors of the fruit would be, don't you?

You don't need to eliminate them entirely to be healthy, you just can't eat them continuously

Of course I don't eat processed foods constantly. But I'd rather die than eliminate them entirely.

Why?
I don't eat fruit or vegetables. At all. Haven't since I was a baby. I'm almost entirely a carnivore, I'll eat bread and some assorted other plant products. But no fruit or vegetables.

I'm also perfectly healthy, thanks.

i know a guy like this, he's built like a powerhouse

i personally have a soft spot for tangy sweets like some fruit but to each their own

Okay, I totally lied. I love raspberries. Only one per meal though, after that the seeds start getting uncomfortably stuck in my teeth. Regardless, I love a good forgetin' raspberry. Other than that though, no fruits or vegetables.

Blackberries are disgusting and you should feel bad for liking them.

I always eat fruit w/o any meal. Ill go to the store just to get a carton of blueberries, or raspberries or cherries or whatever and snack on them. perfect.

By per meal I really meant like per session of eating. I don't generally go out of my way to eat a single raspberry with my steak or something, but if we've got raspberries in the fridge or if they come on a dessert or something I'll take one.

i think fruit is neat

strawberries, mango, peaches, cherries...good stuff

Why not just make - wait for it - a normal smoothie? Maybe the issue is that people think smoothie, and they think juice, yogurt, and a few strawberries and a half a banana. Well, in my book, that's not a smoothie. IMO, a proper smoothie should have:

Kale
Spinach
Strawberries
Bananas
Blueberries
Mango
Pineapple

...Plus more. The only downside is that there's a bunch of sugar in there too.

You honestly don't need that much fruit, since one or two is enough to counteract the kale's taste. I'm supposed to be (I missed solid food too much and had a slice of pizza) doing a juice fast, and drinks like these taste better than you expect. I could do the actual thing, though, if I just didn' t get cravings... I still feel healthier, though. Although you're not supposed to have dairy, since apparently it's fattening, but I don't know the science behind it. Bananas are a good subsitute for creaminess, though.

also by eliminating processed foods i don't mean don't eat unhealthy foods. You can have fried chicken, just not like KFC's, since homemade foods are generally free of chemicals and the like.

Honestly, fried chicken isn't worth eating if it didn't come from KFC.

Have you tried a copycat recipe? Idk it could be as good with the right fryer and stuff.

there's a similar local restaurant near where i live and it has chicken on about the same level as kfc, just the skin isn't as crunchy
