because it's out of necessity. what if I get sick, say cancer, and the medicine costs more than I can afford with my regular salary?
you have a what if question, and you offer only 1 solution. and behold! that solution has nothing to do with an effort on your part! its like some kinda magic.
why dosnt the fed take care of you? why dosnt your family take care of you? why dosnt the state take care of you? why arent there more volunteer healthcare? why arent there more charities for people like me? why dont i go to another country for my healthcare?
oh its easier to look at my current job, a private owned company and demand they pay my bills. forget them. they dare hire me, they absorb all responsibility over my life.
or if you want my personal opinion and a direct answer to your question "what if I get sick, say cancer, and the medicine costs more than I can afford with my regular salary?"
i answer. then you just have to die. its not a basic human right to live as long as possible. people get sick and die. people try and heal, and sometimes the help runs out.
businesses cant afford to heal everyone. or they simply wont exist. thats why they leave overseas.
