For that matter, it starts next Monday. I'll be working as a custodial helper in this school in a ghetto area. I already got an idea of what it was like, and couldn't stand the people I'd be working with. I will work with it though, and just do well so next year I can get this opportunity again. I'll be making about $900-1200 in 6 weeks which is pretty nice, and I plan on putting it into college savings. I'm mainly doing this for the money, it's something to do over the summer rather than sitting at home, it's a first time actual work experience, and because it'd look great to have summer jobs listed on my college resume. I also plan to volunteer at a nursing home when I turn 16. In the past 6 months I realized how important saving my money is, and how important working is. I've never had the willingness to work hard in my life like I do now.
Wish me luck!
What was it like for your first time working at an actual job?
