Author Topic: Skyler Page, Clarence creator, fired-loveual assault claims on Twitter  (Read 10540 times)

there is no evidence of him doing this, but he has been fired and collectively everyone on twitter and tumblr has started hating him and calling people who want evidence a "loving ghoul."

he had very little to do with the show other than voice the main character, but i really dont feel comfortable hating the guy without some kind of proof, ya know?

also, he has some kind of mental illness apparently.

"The Internet animation community is struggling to understand and address a serious issue today: a series of tweets last night by Adventure Time storyboard artist Emily Partridge in which she identified artist Skyler Page, the creator of the Cartoon Network series Clarence, as loveually assaulting her. The incident has drawn a swift reaction from Cartoon Network. A spokesperson for the network told Cartoon Brew that, “Skyler Page is no longer an employee at Cartoon Network Studios.” "

    “Clarence” Head-of-Story reaction
I was Head of Story on “Clarence” from the beginning.

Obviously Skyler Page loveually assaulted a female artist at CN. Skyler’s a piece of stuff, and CN should give him the boot. Emily Partridge is one bad-ass chick for standing up to a guy who a lot of people wanted to cover up for. Skyler’s starfish behavior (though not yet loveual assault) was the main reason I quit the show more than a year ago.

I can’t imagine how fans of the show are feeling right now. But the reason you like Clarence, in spite of it’s creator, is because the “creator” had very little to do with the show. Despite what it says in the credits, Skyler never wrote a single episode of Clarence. It was created by the writers (me and Spencer Rothbell) and the talented board artists (people like Charlie Gavin, Derek & Diana). We took Skyler’s idea of “a fat dumb kid” and made a character out of it. Skyler mostly “kept the couch from floating away”, and read whatever lines we gave him. There’s been enough victims of Skyler Page, don’t punish the talented crew that actually raised Clarence.

forget all the images broke hold on everyone

No evidence? That does suck.

baseless accusations

MUST BE TRUE

That's horrible, you can just get anyone you dislike fired by simply accusing them.

forget all the images broke hold on everyone
YOU hAVE FAILED ENTIRELY

are they gonna keep making the show though? cus that's a good show. and they ruined TAWOG this new season so I need something to replace that

THE IMAGES ARE FIXED also who would have known cartoon network employees were so vulgar hot damn

are they gonna keep making the show though? cus that's a good show. and they ruined TAWOG this new season so I need something to replace that
they are apparently, because according to them he did absolutely nothing

I love the "pick a side, jerks" quote.
What is a false dichotomy?

Also, the fact she put emotes in her accusations makes it seem a little less serious, don't you think?

It seems like everyone is just white-knighting for her.

like

whhattt

Where's the evidence?

It seems like everyone is just white-knighting for her.

also i love steven universe and all but that "dudes should live in fear of treating women like stuff" quote is garbage

also i have said this before but there is no evidence

like at all

however it's apparently unspeakably evil to be skeptical of evidence-less claims of loveual assault

also i love steven universe and all but that "dudes should live in fear of treating women like stuff" quote is garbage

women should live in fear of creating a reason for them to be treated like stuff

like y'know, false accusations.

i don't know how this'll pan out in the long run, but it sure seems false right now.

also i love steven universe and all but that "dudes should live in fear of treating women like stuff" quote is garbage
everyone should live in fear of treating anyone like that imo cus like
why??? why would you touch people. what do you get out of it? I don't understand. and it's just a bad thing to do
