A much-requested addition for vehicles, i may have thought of a solution. Using a system similar to the Custom Vehicle Support that Filipe uses, would it be possible to finally add letters to a vehicle? If so, can someone try to make it. Additionally, if parts of a vehicle can be textured, using Custom Vehicle Support, couldn't "stickers" be swapped out on the vehicle, thus providing another means to add letters or numbers? If either of these could be possible, can someone give them a shot?

Only if the letters were actually models.
We cannot use decals or prints.
but sure we could use models /support
this would be cool for NASCARS so you could change car numbers

You MIGHT be able to do this be changing the material used, however those are literally 16x16 pictures that are used for colour. You can probably get a nice model that has the stickers recreated on it already, other than that I don't think so.

Usually. Materials can be larger textures, but this requires UV mapping.

Custom Vehicle Support could definitely swap out nodes which have different materials on them (resulting in different decals on the car), but those nodes would have to be part of the model, referencing specific materials. You couldn't just use the printer on it.
