I think the issue that gets in the way is Badspot having better things to do (such as focussing on any moderation), as well as not actually seeing the message.
I'm sure that Badspot gets inundated with PMs and messages from reported posts, so when he comes online he might not see all the minor PMs he gets.
If you PM when he is actually online though I think you'll have a better chance of grabbing his attention.

Just don't abuse it. Don't repeatedly PM him with the same issue and don't be rude or demanding in your PM. It is a favour he's doing after all.
