If he literally meant rockets, yes, they're useless. Little jerk of the joystick and the rocket is 100 yards the other direction.
If he meant missiles like SAM missiles, no, the plane is more than likely screwed unless it can out-manuever, out-fly, shoot down or deploy countermeasures.

Well actually Iraq had three types of T-72. Some of them were built out of spare parts from the T-72M, others were T-72M that were imported from the Minor Warsaw Pact nations, while the third was the Lion of Babylon, which was a down grade of a downgrade and made from mild steel.
