Author Topic: Parents are loving ridiculous (Another parent rant thread)  (Read 2923 times)

Alright so I was gonna take the car out tonight to go for a drive by myself and hang out.
And then my mom told me that there's no reason she can't just drop me off at the mall and let me hang out there
And I told her I wanted to take the car because I haven't been able to leave the house lately and I just wanted to go for a drive by myself
And she told me that that's not safe and I can't do that because it's not appropriate for my age
And now she wants me to give her some password for something that allows her to track my phone wherever I am because "If I dont have anything to hide then it shouldn't be a problem".

What am I supposed to do about this I feel like Im being suffocated by my parents

People need their privacy.

im so grateful to have cool, non-strict parents

thanks guys that makes me feel so much better
and the worst part is is that you're like 13 and you get freedom
and Im about to go to University on the other side of the country in 2 months and my mom still wants to track me

i'm not here to make you feel better, bubba

she's just worried about your safety, maybe a little too much but tell her you understand and promise not to let her down

that doesn't ever work lol
she doesnt care about promises she cares about being able to actually look at and know where i am all the time

What the hell? You have your license and your mom isn't taking advantage of that? My mom was more excited when I got my license than I was. No more driving me everywhere.

and here i am driving my own car around when i don't even have a license and my parents don't give a forget

and i still haven't wrapped my car around a tree yet

gotta keep tryin' harder yo

smash your phone and say it was an accident, no more tracking

smash your phone and say it was an accident, no more tracking
I'll smash you and say it was an accident, no more Zapk.

She would never let me leave the house if I didnt have my phone
She likes to check in every hour
not likes to, has to.

talk to your dad, maybe he'll tell her to stop being handicapped
