People shouldn't be spared the harsh stuff.
I mean, you gotta get a thicker skin somehow, right?
the mindset seems to have turned into "why should we have to get thicker skin when it's not hard for you to hide this from me?"

But no one who actually has PTSD is going to have a panic attack from someone mentioning a certain word.

the episode had a fictional Self Delete attempt but still i really doubt that would trigger someone. like i really dont know how people would get a panic attack from something online, or something fictional

"hey remember nam-"
"GHGNHN"
"...namine's extra glasses"

Also of great note: He still has no problem making a joke of it all. I guess he only remembers to be a shill at the last second.

Because they are weak

Arin is a stuff feminist. He sides with the popular opinion at the last minute to look good, but very few feminist traits ever reflect in his videos, however most of them are from Dan.

Noises and visuals are not the same as trigger words and cannot really be warned against because every PTSD suffer's trigger is different and hard to define
Well for certain groups of people they can be similar (like explosions or the whistle of a bomb falling) but yeah
people on tumblr are not war vets
i was just saying not all trigger warnings are invalid

the problem isn't war vets with PTSD who might get triggered by the mention of Self Delete, the problem is angsty teenager friends who claim they have PTSD from attending highschool pretending to get "triggered" for attention and sympathy. post traumatic stress disorder is actually a real and serious thing, but the teenage attention whores who use it for attention and sympathy are garbage. and i'm also not trying to generalize this down to only war vets, there are plenty of different types of people from all walks of life who could have post traumatic stress disorder.

you have never been into a warzone, you don't know what some war vets have been through

Maybe it was actually barry who added it. He does all of the editing and stuff right?

Barry edits the videos and uploads them but Arin probably asked him to put in the annotation

Danny's a legitimately sensitive person with a good sense for people, and he's respectable in that manner. Arin just tries too hard.

Dan is probably the nicest human being on the planet and i dont think hes capable of hating anyone

Danny's cute, just sayin'.

When I say it in the other thread it's all "why is DrenDran so hateful" but I guess it's okay here

how badly ptsd is represented on tumblr would probably give ptsd sufferrers a panic attack
