I don't think they'd have the brain power to recognize that as blood if they were going off about "triggers."

so you're saying this has the possibility to trigger people?
no

(if this was real blood) this would

Personally, I've always hated seeing blood, but not really virtual blood. Pictures of people bleeding and gore or seeing someone I know bleeding will make me feel uneasy. That being said, being triggered by the mention of blood or seeing the individual cells is sorta overboard.

please go make a fool of yourself in another thread
my bingo sheet is almost full

That's normal.

Somehow I get the feeling that seeing triggering material on the internet is far more likely than seeing it in real life.

Why do they go on the internet if it triggers them so much? That's why I can't take anyone who complains about how they have triggers even remotely seriously

"you're sensitive to certain content? stop using one of the most important tools mankind has ever created"
wow, that's some incredible logic
That's normal.
that's not what triggering content does to people, though

"you're sensitive to certain content? stop using one of the most important tools mankind has ever created"
People who are physically unable to drive should not drive. People who are claim to be mentally unstable should not interact with other people. People who claim to have emotional scarring should not be exposing themselves.

that's not what triggering content does to people, though
Exactly. "Triggering" is being overly sensitive and overreacting.

sensitive to specific fields of content =/= being unable to use the internet

again, you misunderstand. i meant that in the exact opposite sense - panic attacks are real.

it's so funny that someone would waste their energy rejecting something so vehemently instead of trying to make people comfortable
this reminds me of myself in middle school, wow

If you can't get over your problems then stop doing things that cause those problems to actually become a problem for you. It's common sense and if you can't understand that then I can't take you seriously either. Doing things that cause problems to be problems isn't going to solve anything and neither is bitching and whining about how people won't respect your problems when you do nothing to overcome or work around them for yourself.

People who bitch about how they get triggered on the internet are basically expecting the world to work around their individual problems instead of them working around their own problems, it's a completely unrealistic expectation and I don't give a stuff how serious these "triggers" are for some people if they refuse to do anything about them themselves.

can we all just live and let live

sensitive to specific fields of content =/= being unable to use the internet
The internet is literally a cesspool of every form of content imaginable. Using it and then acting like you're going to die when there's a picture of something you don't like is handicapped.

again, you misunderstand. i meant that in the exact opposite sense - panic attacks are real.
Panic attacks are real, and they're completely unrelated to "triggers."

panic attacks are real.
"oh my god someone said the word gun!!!! Im having a panic attack someone call 911!!!"

panic attacks are real. But not for 90% of the things people find "triggering"

This day and age, how does one not use the internet. Especially if one has been using it already for quite some time.

having issues =/= not dealing with them
you know therapy isn't some instant cure for mental issues, right?
on top of that, many people aren't able to get to therapy
"oh my god someone said the word gun!!!! Im having a panic attack someone call 911!!!"

panic attacks are real. But not for 90% of the things people find "triggering"
90%'s not an accurate figure, considering 90% of trigger warnings are for rape or Self Delete or death
Panic attacks are real, and they're completely unrelated to "triggers."
now i understand why you don't get it.
they are, that's the point
