I also don't think that people with serious problems like that could reliably use the internet at all, much less tumblr. the internet is about the last thing that I would imagine makes people feel grounded in reality

i was kinda guessing. but I did make the assumption a little bit based on my perception of what kind of person the author was (from reading an uncomfortable number of strips in the comic), and i didn't feel like he was the kind of person who would be positive about that stuff. I also didn't know that the comic wasn't about the author himself
