it's really not that black and white, thought tumblr is a breeding ground for that kind of behavior, feminism is like a hivemind there and even their worst common beliefs are common among the movement today. eg rape culture and all that. i mean i've been saying this for forever but i mean tumblr feminism is just what feminism has turned to with a lot of extremists leaking in. and trust me, the extremists are making their way into the real world too. remember that time feminists started a riot to prevent a meeting about male Self Delete and had to be taken away by the police for their violence? i do. there was a lot of them, too. there are so many extreme feminists on college campuses i dont think you understand

No, because saying "not all X" has a negative connotation to it, especially not all men. It's almost memetic in nature. I admit the MRM's intentions are good, but I don't think that the movement is doing the right thing. I feel like I'm practically regurgitating this.

I don't see what's so bad about the idea that rape culture exists? It doesn't seem extreme at all. And I still don't think that the extremist (as in the rioting ones you frequently bring up despite the fact it's a terrible argument) form is ever going to be mainstream.

I don't even want anyone to agree with me if they don't want to. I only see this as a justification of my stance, not a way to convert people. And I'm aware that I'm accomplishing nothing, but the outcome will be worse for me if I don't say anything than if I do.

Since I already said something and unintentionally started an argument (specifically supporting the fist as a feminist symbol), if I stop, it will make me look moronic for not having a response to everyone's counterargument. If I keep going, I will look moronic for having a different opinion. Both ways are bad, but I believe the latter isn't as bad.It's not like you guys are looking any smarter though. Maybe you are to yourselves, though, since you have people agreeing with you.

Your problem is that you actually give a stuff about "losing" an argument. I'm not sure what this all is about, but if you actually care that much that people will think you're "pathetic" for walking away, you probably shouldn't engage in arguments in the first place.

2. i bring that stuff up because they are things that have happened and are very much still happening, although the common acts are sometimes small and insignificant on a larger scale, which is why i dont make them a big deal. like i know of a huge list and it's even a little outdated, and i still think it proves the point that if you think all feminists are doing is voicing their opinions, you must need your eyes checked

I thought rape culture was about how people take the wrong approach towards rape and try to sympathize with the culprit (e.g., assuming that any accusation of rape is false, saying that the victim is attempting defamation, etc. I guess the Skyler Page incident and how you guys took it is a good example of what I mean) and shame the victim?

I never said that "all feminists are doing is voicing their opinions," or anything that could support stopping a meeting about male Self Delete. The reason I'm not taking this argument seriously is because you're attacking feminists rather than feminism, if that makes any sense.

It's too far back for me to drop out, anyway, but I see your point. It's hard for me to control myself when I see anything I disagree about, especially if it's something I feel directly affects me (e.g., loveuality, gender, etc.).
