Those people are morons.

Hahaha, OK. You're implying that a word can't have a hateful connotation to it.

What if I'm only attracted to playing ball?

ball is life

alright the way I see it
homoloveuality isn't just about genitals. there's no way that could be the case. do you actually have to look in someone's pants to decide whether or not you think they're hot? no. so it can't be only about genitals
but, on the other hand, I would not expect a gay guy with a snake to have love with anyone who has a vagina. however I would also not expect them to never do that, because you never know. they might not care about genitals at all. it could just be about masculinity or femininity or whatever for them
I think that loveuality would be easier if it wasn't straight or gay or whatever
It would just be like
"I like girls"
"I like guys"
"I like people somewhere in the middle"
And that's all
that doesn't really solve the issue at hand, though, so I'm not sure what the point is in mentioning it

How is it dumb? Transpeople are only recently being tolerated more by mainstream culture and the definition of some words should just respect that. Words mean a lot to most people, and so do their definitions.

Because, trying to make these new terms and everything is only pushing the "special snowflake" stuff that even the most tolerant of people are starting to hate.

I'm bi/pan. Do I want to flaunt it in everyones faces every single moment of my life, no. Do I want to be given special treatment, no.

Just stop trying to stop all goddamn special when you're stuff just like the rest of us. This superhuman bullstuff is starting to drive me insane.

love is pretty gross, its like one the three things that are always on people's minds. love, eating, breathing.

It kind of does.

Think of non-binary (those who identify as neither male or female, includes "agender," "androgynous," and similar terms) people, for example. If you're solely attracted to guys, are you straight or gay? Or "monoloveual" (or romantic)?? no one knows what the forget monoloveual is and you'll look really pretentious saying it, but then there's really nothing else to say that works with your gender

at least this is from personal experience. i usually say i'm homoromantic because i have a richard but i don't really think it has much to do with my gender so it's confusing for me

how is having your gender acknowledged a superhuman thing

how is it flaunting too

and transgender isn't even new??

There are people who don't consider transmen and women to be "real" men and women, and a good deal of them. Some of them want to be helpful, but just don't understand. Changing the definition of familiar words is taking a baby step in the right direction so that people understand how gender works.

word

haaaaah
its fitting since this is apparently the meme megathread

i, for one, can't wait until we hit page 420

who will be the king of 420?

Because people think of it as a sort of extra privilege thing, where they deserve nothing but respect because they deviate from the normal binary gender system. You start getting people who bitch and whine about social justice, jus because someone makes a tiny mistake of not calling them loving xer. By doing so, you're setting yourself above all others in a narcissistic black hole (get it, because their ego is super massive). In other words, I don't like the "special butterfly" thing. You are human, you should be treated equal to humans.

I understad gender identity is a thing but when it boils down to love, you either have a richard, pusillanimous individual, both or none at all.

i screw up my friend's pronouns all the time

no one really cares. it varies from person to person if anything, so i have no idea what you're going on about.

when it boils down to it, you should really look outside of the troll "sjw" blogs when deciding your opinion on this issue. I think most of those people just get angry because they write their pronouns down and people still get them wrong, so it looks intentional. There's a difference between intentionally ignoring someone's identity and making a mistake.

And I didn't even bring up nonbinary people? I mean I did, but that was with Foxscotch. And I'm not arguing about what love is.

I've talked to trans people before, I even have a trans friend. They got pissy at me for using the wrong pronoun.
