fefe still isn't a meme you jerry-nosed mothershuckling crinkleback article of fruit magazine and the works

fefe will never be a meme, thanks to kimon and him alone

He ruined fefe before the normies could

that, but also the fact that memes have to occur naturally. he is forcing it on everyone by saying it's a meme, while this would happen automatically if it were an actual meme.

who are we to play god? we must let this happen the way nature intended to

kimon doesn't understand what makes a meme, he thinks it's just a commonly accepted joke because he's a dumb "memester"

the literal definition is "an element of a culture or system of behavior that may be considered to be passed from one individual to another by nongenetic means, especially imitation."

you can't call something memetical just because it's silly. a meme is like an idea building block, something that brings people together, a sort of common ground for an entire culture to use to relate to their peers. forced memes only harm this sense of community

And I'm being completely serious, too. Memes are a phenomenon that predate the internet. Olden jokes and wives tales are pretty much memes, and they've lived on in western culture just because like I said, they're an idea that creates common ground between strangers

So, kimon is to memes what feminational socialists are to actual feminism?

p much

Pretty much. He butchers culture because it isn't his culture. He doesn't understand that much like /r9k/ relates to fellow peers with that dumb ol good boy points joke, people use pepe and greentext stories to relate to one another. It's a human function to use culture as common grounds between fellow man and woman.

Fefe doesn't mean anything, it's just a picture, a joke, satire of a real, human ideal. It's an artificial cultural icon made by people who just want to poke and prod at something that stood the test of time and age, something they think is dumb and they don't understand. I think the pepe meme is dumb and I don't understand it, and it's not my kind of thing. But it is for so many other people.

At the end of the day, we're all human beings trying to find others who are like us. Memes are a shortcut to finding those people. Some may say lolcats are stupid, but there's are some people out there who genuinely laugh at those pictures, and share them with like-minded people. Say what you will, but it's a touching process

I detest most internet memes but I understand that there's a culture around it and it's not my place to judge others for liking them much like I wouldn't like to be judged for my own sense of humor
