Having a mouse problem

no matter what server i go on my mouse stops working for 5 seconds every 20 seconds or so.It only happens when im in a server,if im at the menu or out of the game my mouse is fine,any fixes?

Is it by any chance a wireless mouse?
Have you tried plugging it in a different USB port?
This isn't probably the problem but have you tried to update the drivers?

Is there a possibility to try and use a different mouse?
