Author Topic: RIP The World  (Read 1760 times)

There has been many cases of the world falsely being destroyed, or being uninhabitable. This is the thread to realize how stupid us humans were many years ago, because now we have more advanced science on our side and more understanding, we will (hopefully) not predict anymore silly Earth disruptions.

Predictions:

Suggestion:
I swear, someone needs to remake Badspot's "RIP Blockland" post, but with "RIP The World"

Because the world does have a long and glorious tradition of ending, with seemingly no ill effects.

It will never stop because fear-mongering is how lesser minds make money off lesser minds.

heres a story

back in 2012, about a good 50% of our school was freaking out about the doomsday prediction

me: soo, tomarrow is the mayan calender end of world thing

guy: WE ARE ALL GOING TO DIE!

me: no we were not, science shows that the earth is 100% stable, no signs of anything bad happening

guy: THATS WHAT THEY WANT YOU TO THINK, WE ARE ALL GOING TO DIE!

me: considering the fact that the calender is round... its obivous this is NOT the end of the world

guy: THATS NOT FUNNY

(I left due too him complaing)

As if the Mayans were more qualified to predicting the end of the world to anyone else.

@ all
No one will ever predict the end of the world.  "The day and hour is unknown." Not science, not math, not nothing will ever be right.

me and friends got together and prayed to the mayan gods during the 2012 apocalypse at midnight
im pretty sure we stopped it

Ladies and gentlemen, a near full table of why predicting a world's death is near always wrong. How every date on the page within single thousands didn't/won't happen. The only dates I can roughly believe in are the ones in like the 500,000s+ (though that's a length giving a lot of confidence in our brain-dead infested earth).

This almost entirely debunks every thread about the "end".

Christ won't bother with us, either. Yeah.

It's safe to say people will predict the end of the world over and over and the world will continue to not end over and over.
