what are you talking about?

what are you talking about?
im not looking forward to buying a $300 copy of windows 8/8.1

Windows 8.1 Pro is only $200...

are you trying to install a billion gigabytes of ram or some stuff

The windows xp support was canceled like 2 months ago.
I misunderstood, after reading they said that they are just ending feature support, security updates will still be supported until 2020. However its just that after 13 years they finally end support(security) for xp, meanwhile vista and 7 will be supported for 11 years.

don't they look the same...?
Yes, except 8.1 has the start button and you can change it to LOOK LIKE WINDOWS 7.

Yes, except 8.1 has the start button
that takes you back to the metro screen

I'm pretty sure if they let you choose whether or not to have windows 8 or windows 7 on premade computers 7 would be outselling 8 by the boatload. Heck, I would pay more money for a copy of windows 7 then a copy of windows 8. It's just that terrible.
Windows 8.1 has superior performance and also looks a ton better. Windows 8 on the other hand was terrible.

Windows 8.1 is $99 you stuffhead.

Are you completely ignoring the rest of my statement?
I can put card board around my car and make it look like a tank, but does it function like a tank? Nope. What's the point of having an os look like 7 if its start button can't.

Windows 8 also had better performance and looked a ton better?

stuff windows 7 can't be considered irrelevant now, right?

forget windows 8. my computer's a computer, not a tablet. I know there are plenty of things you can do to modify windows 8 to fit windows 7 but im already settled in on windows 7. Is it any worth it to upgrade at this point?

windows 9 will probably be better
