Author Topic: Is a 128x128 baseplate possible?  (Read 1487 times)

My friend told me a brick cannot be larger than 64x64. Is this true?

pretty sure the max size is either 64 studs or 128 studs
if any of the large bricks in packs are bigger than 64 studs, than it's probably 128 for the max size
if not, then 64x is the largest
I don't remember seeing any above 64 studs though

and you can have larger bricks, they just don't function correctly in all aspects (pretty sure rendering)

A brick can have gigantic models (sylvanor is working on combining builds to 1 brick skyscrapers to make a whole city) but it's size in the brick grid cannot be larger than 64 x 64 x 64.

long time ago, I use brick 200 x 200 x 1 as baseplate. after 14 or 15V, Badspot disabled it and set limit 64x64x90

So basically he's making a giant brick in the shape of a skyscraper but less than 64 x 64 x 64?

64 studs length/width and 90 plates high.
90 plates high would not make a cube with a 64x64 base, it's 160 plates high

Giant model and collision shape but only a small brick in the grid

After a bit of experimenting, I noticed the largest a brick can be is 64x64x256.

im thinking of making a map but dividing the map into 64s and rendering them as models, so when all of the pieces are in place itll look like the map i want.

but no the max is 64x64x90. i know that because i downloaded a pack that had 128x64 baseplates and stuff, but it came out as a 64x64...
