Apparently somebody did run it over, and it broke.
I really don't see what the problem is with screens anyways, just take some basic amount of care. I've never dropped a phone accidentally. What Apple should be focussing on is battery life jesus.
why do people care so much about the glass on a phone screen.like really.
Yah, but think about it. Would you rather have a fragile phone or a sturdy phone, regardless of whether or not you're going to drop it. I'd take the sturdy one any day, and should any sensible person.
i love MKBHD.this is crazy but really the ultimate solution is to use a case that has a rubber lip around the screen.seriously, it will prevent all screen problems ever since the lip will take damage and not the screen. i haven't even scratched the screen on my GS3.
Not if it falls on a sharp convex object that is higher than the lip.
um they already proved that gorilla glass is stronger than sapphire. this better be just a code name because sapphire isnt strong
It's a 9 on the hardness scale. It never claimed to be stronger, just significantly more scratch resistant. It's nearly the same hardness as diamond, it will not get scratched basically no matter what you put your phone through, unless you happen to be carrying sharpened diamonds in your pocket.
