Well of course, being a different gender/orientation doesn't suddenly make the virus "change its mind" about infecting you. It's just that it's far rmore isky with brown town love (which gay men are sterotypically very promiscuous and practice it a lot) is riskier than other forms of love because of how delicate the rectal tissue is, and how it's made to absorb liquids. But M+F brown town love is just as riskier, and oral and vaginal love can transmit it also, just that infection isn't as likely through these routes
Well, the change in risk between brown town/vaginal is negligible though, really.
The risk is just due to how wide-spread the disease is in the gay community.

But it's also higher in the black community (both western and international communities), and high in communities rife with heroin/needle-based drug addictions.

Oh, I had thought it was a lot lower

But it's also higher in the black community (both western and international communities)
Really? Is there a biological reason, or is it just less safe practices?

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention risk of infection through needle sharing

less safe practices. which probably comes from worse education. which comes from marginalization. which comes from racism mostly. the point is it's not their fault

your loveuality is a product of the internet.

I never had to "come out" myself, one day when we were talking about things my mom literally just looked me in the eyes and said "I don't care what you are, you're my son, I love you no matter what"

next day I did lots of nice things for her cuz I was happy

a lot of parents say that, and it turns out they don't actually mean it

*shrugs*

even if she doesn't mean it, she still cares enough to tell me otherwise, and if anything that makes it even nicer

my parents didnt care
at all

I don't know the statistics on the difference of transmission between brown town/vaginal, or even oral, but for the most part it's just the prevalence of the disease in the varying communities.
There may be some biological difference that make brown town love more likely to transmit, but overall there are simply more HIV positive members in the gay community (proportionally) than there are in the heteroloveual community. The chances of meeting a heteroloveual partner with HIV is much lower than meeting a homoloveual partner with HIV.

And the disease is pretty infectious anyway. It doesn't take much to pick it up.
It's just due to the repression of the community which led to it's extreme promiscuity, and lack of safe family-building.
Really? Is there a biological reason, or is it just less safe practices?
There's nothing biological there. It's just a cultural/social thing.
In the west the causes are somewhat to do with education (although that varies from country to country), as there are fewer black people who have made it through education in the last 60 years.

In the less developed world however it's purely a case of lack of education, and often wealth. There's very little for many in the ways of contraception and protection, so condoms aren't used much. A lack of contraception also means that there is a high birth rate, meaning more HIV parents inevitably give birth to HIV children.

Missionary support by catholics also impacts on some communities, where people are taught that condoms are bad. And when you get moments like the Pope claiming that condoms promote HIV (since they allow for promiscuity) then it only helps to increase the rates of infection.

Finally there's often a case of "sticking to one's own", whereby African immigrants don't tend to mingle with white/asian people, so much as they do with black people. So there is additional spread of the disease from African blacks to Western blacks.
