Welcome to the Blockland Football World Cup 2014!
This is an event I decided to host every 2 years on Blockland.
The server is dedicated, so people are able to train when they want..
We sometimes do friendly matches or small matches with random teams during the event. Please understand that hosting a random game is stressful
The matches will be played at the Wrench Team Soccer Stadium.

IMPORTANT INFORMATIONS ABOUT LAWS AND TOURNAMENT
We would like to inform you about some confusing rules and new decisions

- Kicking from the Goal Keeper box (small rectangle) is allowed
- Tackling the Goal Keeper in the small rectangle is NOT allowed
- Downloading sounds on the server is NEEDED and IMPORTANT, if a player didn't download them, he's kicked from the tournament. He must also read the laws and understand them.
- Teams are changing: every team must have only 5 players and 4 substitutes (Tell me the new lineup in the topic. It will be the final lineup for the first game)
- You CAN switch players by substitutes during the game, but only 5 players must be on field.
- Games should happen by the end of the week, dates will be announced shortly. Blame ~~Jam Jar~~ life.
- If you have any issue in attending the games, please notify your Captain. The Captain must then find someone else shortly, or replace it by a substitute.
- Every team must have 5 players obligatory by the end of the week. If not, the entire team is banned from the tournament. And games will be reported because of that.

Where have you been the past two years?

Also it hasn't even started yet so you don't really know that. I hope it's successful but seriously getting that many people to show up for a game at the same time will be near impossible.

can you stop trying to shamelessly promote your tournament and stuff on oher tournaments

Im not, I'm seriously concerned for this. I never mentioned mine nor do I want to. I'm here saying it's going to be extremely difficult to get 14 players to join a server at the same time and that changes should be considered to have more realistic expectations. Keep it professional or get out Zombie.

We decided that Theportalmaster is gonna be referee when King-Julian plays, but you can be it too.

I think having 2 is better, one for each half of the field. Unless that constrains playercount ofcourse.

EDIT: Maybe I can be less of a referee and more of a cameraman and stream the games to twitch.

There were 30 players online 2 days ago without any planning whatsoever, so it shouldn't be that hard.

Well yeah you can pull in random people from the crowd as a last ditch effort to make a full team. We do that sometimes, but the planned subs will almost never show up unless they're extremely dedicated or know that they are going to play that game. Player count doesn't matter at all if those players have no knowledge of the rules or game.
