This. There should be a rule for any future tournaments that doesn't allow any players on a team to become referees. Plus, there should be an application process so Mr. LoL can find a ref that knows the rules isn't biased towards any teams.

exactly my point it ruined the final so badly

Great world cup everybody! Here are my opinions of the teams and their places.
1st: Zimbabwe

In my opinion, this had to be the best custom team there is to date. While it became easily predictable after the Portugal match, Zimbabwe played the most hardest matches in the world cup, and in my opinion, I feel like they indeed, deserved the win.

2nd: Portugal

Okay, hear me out, even through Argentina was a great team and all, Portugal just flat out deserved the silver because of their incredible play in the quarter finals and for third place. Hopefully they can win in 2016!

3rd: France

I know what you're thinking, and I feel the same way, but think about it. France is owned from one of the hosts of the server, king Julian himself, and played a tough match against Zimbabwe! Even through they lost, I thought it was the best Quarter match in this world cup.

4th: USA

The final good team in the cup was USA. It was amazing seeing it beat Korea for the entry, but their overall performance was 50/50. Even through I was voting for Portugal, it was really fun seeing people rioting Portugal and wanting USA to win.

5th: Argentina

This was the only meh team on this list. If you ask me, I think Argentina got the 2nd easiest line-up in the world cup, which is stupid. Reason being is because they beat Germany 4-0, and beat Brazil 9-3. However in the finals, they got demolished 11-1, which is pretty sad for a world cup finals. I'm only gonna say this.
Argentina, you beat Germany and that's great, but you didn't win the world cup. Just... please try harder next time. :cookie:

6th: Brazil

By just a landslide, Brazil lost to Argentina for 5th, and now is in the bad section. Now in the original world cup, they did amazing, getting 4th. In this one, not so much... First off in the quarter finals, they almost beat Russia flawlessly with a score so high.. it-
...
Well, you'll see. Anyway, that's when they were lucky, then, from there on out, Brazil sucked HORRIBLY. They lost to Argentina 3-9, and got beat FLAWLESSLY by Portugal in the third place match 11-0. In my opinion, I have no clue why it made it into 4th.

7th: Germany

Jesus, this team barely had any effort. Thank god Mr. LoL banned Dogling from the next world cup, otherwise, all havoc would break loose.
Anywho, lets get to the story.
Argentina and Germany plays a game, and all goes well until Argentina scores its third score in a row, which makes Dogling angry. He then marches over to one of the referees and tells him that it isn't fair. The referees chat with him and now he's calm. A minute later, Argentina scores its fourth goal, which causes Dogling to ragequit, forcing the team to forefit the match. If I were dogling, I would keep playing instead of ragequitting!

8th: Russia

Even through I am a part of the team, Russia is flat out, the WORST team in any world cup. When they were supposed to play, I showed up first, and for  a while, nobody from my team showed up. After that, Mr. Lol started to get pretty pissed at gingerdemon for not responding to him for 2 weeks. Then finally, 45 mins until the match starts, Jack noir, a team player for russia, shows up and the day is saved! No not really, it gets really chaotic from here on out. With minimal time to spare, lol decides to make russias roster change to a custom roster, causing some pretty crazy stuff to happen. Even with the custom team, we got the worst score in the world cup facing Brazil. 18-1. It was so bad, Mr.Lol decided to ban Gingerdemon from participating in anymore world cups.
He felt sorry for me and jack, and I can agree, because out of all the custom players, only one made a goal. *sigh* Mr.Lol, please don't allow russia into the next world cup, they did bad enough already... :c

And there you have it! if you want to do an opinion of your own, then do it!

Dear people that keep harassing the refs because they think they know the rules so well;

If you read the rules really closely, you'd see any rules set by the referee at the start before the beginning of the game override any other rules.

The referee can decide to manipulate and adjust rules to suit the match before hand, those choices are final.

I really clearly stated before we began that jumping on players is a foul, and tackling the goalie in the goalie's box is a foul.
This is the goalie's box in association football:

This box is also known as the penalty box.

It was stated that in the goalie's box tackling is forbidden.

And dear supporters of Argentina:
No, you wouldn't have scored an additional 12 goals if I hadn't stated this (which I did).

-snip-
- Kicking from the Goal Keeper box (small rectangle) is allowed
- Tackling the Goal Keeper in the small rectangle is NOT allowed
This is what confused the players. When you say small rectangle, we think you mean the small rectangle. Next time you should clear the rules up so this confusion doesn't happen again.

Besides some bad organization, sloppy referees at times, and some confusing rules, this has been a great tournament! Thanks to Mr. LoL for managing the tournament and everyone else who have helped out and/or played, it was great fun!

But I didn't say small rectangle. I said box. These rules were altered by Jam Jar before the semifinals so it's not like this is a final-only thing atall. Keep the overrule in mind for that. We (especially Mr.LoL and Jam Jar, me not so much) are really busy trying to get stuff done with everyone yelling they cannot possibly wait for 2 minutes because they have to go fap or something, getting this thread up to date for something that can be altered in-game and abide by the rules is a waste of time.

Even though the laws state you can alter rules before games, you should still keep the rules up-to-date. Otherwise there will be confusion. The rules should be kept the same all throughout the tournament imo.

I personally don't know why they were altered, probably to prevent huge clusterforgets near the goals. I just enforce.

Finally, we believe some of the refereeing was biased towards Zimbabwe. When one of our players crashed while we were still playing, the game carried on. However, when one of Zimbabwe's players crashed (or left, etc.) the game was paused for a very short time while one of their subs went on to replace them. That, and Jam Jar was acting as a referee, even though he was playing.
This is probably just because all text gets drowned out and Jam Jar can adminchat it to all of the staff so it's really obvious and doesn't slide down the chat in 2 seconds. That mistake is on us though.

6th: Brazil
-snip-
Says the russian man lol
I bet you have grudge vs brazil, cause, well you know. 1-18

Although, we were not lucky, we were more prepared than russia (tho less prepared than other teams such as arg)
Also our captain did not appear in the port match, if he would, Monsier would not have to be captain, and things would totally change, there are also a lot of other reasons why we didnt score goals

but anyways that's just my opinion, not trying to change yours

Armyguy it makes it stufftier when you said "Thanks for kicking Argentina's ass." I don't think you deserve to be a ref for the next Cup

If you didn't get that was a joke you are an idiot. If you watched the real world cup you'd remember my country, the Netherlands, lost to it. Not like I mentioned that like 3 seconds later though, but you're probably filtering for stuff you want to see.

There is ZERO excuse for biased refs whatsoever. The fact that he said that is extremely irritating. jam jar has done this too. Mr Lol wasn't biased but he did lose his cool all the time and take it out on players in the middle of matches. Refs often didn't even know the proper explanation or enforcement of rules which lead to controversy almost every single match. All of this combined ultimately led to poorly officiated matches. I hope to see a lot more and better refs if this attempted again next year.
Overall this tournament was alright. The build was planned out very well, but massive improvements in officiating and organization (especially player organization) are needed. All in all I'm just happy there was a semi-successful tournament. It's not an easy thing to put together and most hosts would give up on it once they realize how much work it is.
