Reasons why I dislike sports.

Reasons why I dislike sports.
I don't play anything except soccer and hockey.

I do track and track only. I've always been terrible at directly competitive sports (basketball, football) where you're actively blocking them and stuff. I'm terrible at physical cooperation, my HEARING is bad (for hearing commands) and my hand-eye coordination is stuff except for typing. I can run pretty damn fast though.

weightlifting on national chest day today with some HIIT to follow

feels good

every monday we have physical education
we begin by doing 12 minutes of running with 15 second walking rests in-between 3 minutes (if someone does something wrong we have to start over, and since this happens most of the time its 24 minutes of this loving thing)
we then proceed with stretching and doing 30 push ups (2 rounds, 15 each) and 20 abs (2 rounds, 10 each)
after that we either do track and field or football (soccer)

its pretty fun compared to other school days, to be honest

I wish I could play baseball in some sort of league. I didn't have the competitive spirit as a kid though, so I never got good with it. Now everyone playing in leagues has been playing for years on end and I would never make teams if I tried.

me too
i'd love to play baseball and if I went back to 9th then I would have
but the track team needs me

I played football one year in High School, practice 6 days a week was too much and took up any time I had to work and earn money over the summer. I had no problem with playing basketball all 4 years since basketball season was in the winter but during the summer is just too much.

could you explain your routine? want to compare it to my conditioning

we run 1 lap, then we do a bit of offense/defense training, and then we do stretches
more offense/defense stuff
then we have stations
line jumps over a pad, 3x30 secs
run 2 laps around both baseball fields
pushups, and core training
and then T-Drill
it dosen't sound hard but those 2 laps will get ya

football practices are easy compared to wrestling lmao

each are challenging in their own ways

tennis conditioning:

run 3 laps around our entire school, circling around parking lots as well (around 1.3-1.5 miles, unsure) under a certain time, like 8 minutes (although a good amount dont finish under that time it pushes us to try to beat it)
then we immediately head into the school wrestling room (automatic 10-20 degrees hotter than outside cuz no AC and closed room with no ventilation), and do 3 workout videos (2 30 min intense workouts then 15 minute ab ripper to work on core)
then we head out and actually hit, with intense drills of practice/training for points. pushups if you make mistakes

FUN TIME:
straight up Self Deletes, inside outs (shuffling so loving fast your feet will die), 321, (Self Delete of every line of 3 tennis courts, then 2 tennis courts, then 1 court, under 6- 6:30 minutes) You run to a line, touch it, backpedal to the first line, and then go to the next line, all while sprinting, no forward movement on the way back. Majors and minors. (Major = touch every line of 3 courts, minor = touch every line of 2 courts, but we run multiple minors to make up)
Finish off with drilling, and then as a cooldown its a surprise

Either : 2 laps around school or another Self Delete activity like a 3,2,1

ALSO, on certain days we also have to run a timed mile on top of that, and each time we have to beat our previous mile time. those days are the worst

On final days of conditioning we do DUNE RUNS:

Running through Indiana dunes, which is all sand. 3 parts

First Part;
Relay race, two teams, sprinting to get to top of 100ft dune, losing team has to sprint it again while losing team walks up

Second part:
2.5 mile road run

Third part:
Dune run, 3 mile run through and up dunes.

loving HELLLL
running on sand is twice as hard as concrete

it's loving hell, people throw up regularly and everyone on our team is pretty forgetin' fit.

no forward movement backwards.

that is indeed how it works
