Did he actually buy the design or is it just that he commissioned art of his own? Because that's two different things.

he outright stated he bought the character, and rights to, from some japanese artist.

I recall him saying he bought it for a game hes making but havent really seen anything of that and hes treating them more like his own character so yeah.

and before anyone says I have no room to talk, I still did alter flat a little bit so he isnt just completely ripped out of SB.
