's a joke because the Shotgun goes through Titan shields for some reason, which is useful for killing flag runners/marked Pilots hiding on enemy Titan backs
the reference is to senran kagura/soul caliber/bullet girls and other games with clothing breaks
they are mysterious enigmas that we should look to for inspiration
