Examine hole that was crawled out of, and then head towards where the figure was last seen.

You examine the hole and see a headstone with no inscription. Its a grave, but why were you digging a grave today?

As this currently isn't something you want to hang around pondering, you start towards where the figure disappeared into the woods, clutching the book in your hands. The storm was in full force now.

look for shelter, try to veer away from taller objects because of the storm.

Tell us as much as you can remember about yourself. Gender? Occupation? Any lore or basic information?

You make a turn from the idea of following the figure and opt for some shelter instead. You sit underneath a jutting rock with your back to it. You are aware that you are missing something about yourself. But you cannot remember what.

M-my name is... D... Daniel? Yeah... Its the year 1861.. I was digging a grave today. Why though...

you feel a light satchel on your back. Apparently you had it for some time.

he obviously stole your left kidney

Make sure that you are completely alone, then do some hanky-panky.

Check the satchel.

You take the satchel off your back with ease because the straps simply tore off like tissue paper. The satchel is rotted for some reason. Inside you find a compass, black powder, percussion caps, lead balls and a New Model Army revolver. Your wadded up tattered hat was there as well... also what looks like a small tin box hidden inside the bowl of the hat.

I was armed? Why?

Wear the hat, then check the compass

Wear the hat, then check the compass

You brush it off and stick the hat on your head, which feels a little loose of a fit than it use to. You flip open the compass and a key falls out. To what you don't know or remember. The compass is rusted beyond repair at this point, and your gun shows sign of a little wear but seems fit for use.

The Storm has finally eased, and the forest once again has light shining through the thick foliage above.

A quiet moment has descended once more.

check how many shots are in the revolver

check how many shots are in the revolver
You pull out the middle bolt of the gun with some effort required because of the rust and pull out the cylinder. You tilt the cylinder over and drain out the rainwater that got in it. It was preloaded but now the powder is nullified by the wet. You shake out the remaining shot that was inside it. It definitely needs some work.

You currently possess enough powder, and caps for 5 reloads.

Try to gain your directional bearinnhgs and head somewhere or go in the direction the man left, he probably knew where he was going
