then explain how i got sent packets by the same ip for hours on end every 5 seconds. in my router logs they ended up being marked as "DoS". my internet slowed down a tad. i was never hosting anything

people usually get scared when someone talks about "ip" and when they find out they have been stored in a list, that'll scare most people who don't have knowledge over what you can do with them
thats why its morally wrong, you're only giving people a little scare

and even if i didnt know that, why the forget would i be handicapped

• Any time you connect to a Blockland (or any game) server, you can get their IP.

OP was already collecting your IPs as he said, the only difference here is that the logfile is in a webpage format.

I get where you're coming from when you say this, but you still can't deny that, when someone who isn't aware of all this will get surprised when they see their ip on a list, it makes them feel vulnerable, even when there's no real danger.

Also, I'd look at the "morally wrong" thing like a stupid joke rather than something serious.

your IP is from your modem. You don't ddos someone's computer/phone/device, you ddos their modem.
