Author Topic: [NEWS] israel invades gaza strip, begins ground offensive  (Read 25060 times)

Ironically the Romans looked at the jews the same way the Israelis looked at the hamas.
Muslim extremists firing badly-constructed missiles at highways? If so, the Romans have some really respectable foresight.

I don't think anyone who is really familiar with the Israeli-Palestinian conflict blames Palestinians for what is going on right now. The biggest problem is that the remnants of Palestinian territories are largely governed by a terrorist organization, and the Israelis believe that that terrorist organization wishes to destroy Israel. This could be solved by redistributing the territories with better attention towards the ethnic groups and settlements, but Israeli isn't going to negotiate with terrorists when they already hold all of the chips.
Well they only "hold all the chips" because America spent absurd amounts of money to give them those chips in a manner which may or may not have been constitutional/legal.

As for them being a terrorist organization, well maybe, but what's the difference between just two armies fighting, and an army and a terrorist group fighting? Isn't that distinction somewhat relative?

If anything, the wisdom and writing in it is far beyond anything any Human could ever write.
but it was written by humans

I think the distinction is that Hamas is very uncompromising and would not accept an equitable solution if they were handed one.

There is absolutely no way that an hour-long debate can substantiate something like creationism. I want an actual bullet-ed bibliography of peer-reviewed studies demonstrating that the Earth:

  • Is 5000 years old
  • Was created by God and didn't exist more than 5000 years ago
  • Does not have strata that can be radiologically dated, along with compelling evidence that current radiological methods are demonstrably inaccurate.

If you cannot provide this, your standard for evidence is crap.

This website contains most of the common defenses and reasons and other thoughts on Creationist ideology. Its available to be browsed through and can be closely studied by you if you look at the website fairly and without the "i'm too smart for this attitude" most people seem to possess.

It covers multiple topics and answers from the Theological standpoint that most Creationists build themselves up from. Have fun!

Romans constructed aqueducts and roads. The Israelis saw the Romans as invaders and fought against them. The Romans then banished them.

I think people should believe as they please, creatonism or evolution

because where did everything come from? Like before your swirling cloud of gas through space or god

This exact thought of what we were in this world and what we were doing here scared the stuff out of me as a child and still does today, what happens if evolution is real? You just die and it doesn't matter

What if creationism is real? no, heaven isn't all clouds and stuff but the scripture says that after 7 years the risen will come back and inherit the earth

And hell? No its like some messed up stuff not even brimstone, its supposed to be pure darkness and the sorrow and crying of millions of people that also died, I really rather live my life just slightly different than you guy rather than take a gamble.

this is my opinion though, you guys can believe what you feel is right; Im not trying to coax you or scare you to believing in creationism

A brief history of the holy land. In song.

Go watch the Ken Ham - Bill Nye debate. That covers a lot.
You mean the debate that Bill Nye obviously won, because ken ham proved he was ignorant to reason and physical evidence?

please quit proving the stereotype that all Christians are extremist.

https://answersingenesis.org/geology/carbon-14/doesnt-carbon-14-dating-disprove-the-bible/

This is a key example of religious fundamentalists talking about science they don't understand. This article implies that there are no other forms of radiological dating besides Carbon-14 dating, and that carbon-dating procedures are not calibrated to account for fluctuations in the radioactivity received by Earth.

I could comb through this entire website and point out the litany of other misinterpretations and poor explanations made by people like Ken Ham who don't do science and don't understand science, but people have done that already. I will gladly look at individual articles that you send me, but do check to make sure that other people haven't already pointed out the mistakes made by a website bent on distorting reality to fit the narrative of an ancient book.

if you look at the website fairly and without the "i'm too smart for this attitude"

You know, honestly, it's not even my narcissism showing through and me acting like I'm much smarter than creationists. It's more like a mindset where it's hard for me to read the writing of people who unironically think that the world is only 5000 years old because I say to myself, "Man, how is it possible that people fall through the cracks of public education this badly?". So no, it's not an "I'm too smart for this" attitude. It's more like a "This is way too handicapped" attitude.

I think people should believe as they please, creatonism or evolution

-snip pascal's wager-
You do realize that the theory of evolution does not posit an explanation for how the universe came to be, right? It just explains why organisms have different characteristics on Earth. That's it. Nothin' else.

what are these guys seriously creationists?

go watch thunderfoots videos

One thing that a really bugs me about evolution is the gradual changes

what benifits does that bird-lizard animal have in between transforming?
Or did it just suddenly pop into another animal?

Christians: We won

Evolutionists: We won

Rastafarian: We smoked it

Don't worry, i'm not trying to single you out specifically for your "narcissism". I'm simply warning against looking at one page and assuming you can continue to pick apart all others. You should definetly try your best to find a point in that website where it makes you stop and think. I say its more appropriate in the research methodology.

There are a lot of scientists who believe in Creationism and are perfectly qualified in the scientific method. They have studied whats before them and come with a different conclusion. It doesn't mean they don't understand science, they merely used science to come to an ultimatum for themselves.

thats not what evolution is xd

Wow. Watch this thread turn into another "Evolution vs creaton" derails
