Yeah, this is my biggest issue.
I have a friend who has no consoles but has a PC.

When I go around his only one of us can usually play at a time, since most of his multiplayer games are designed for online multiplayer only.

But if he comes around my house, I've got an Xbox 360, so we can both play Halo or whatever together, at the same time, in the same room.

Can't do that around my friends house unless I feel like lugging my desktop, monitor, keyboard and mouse on the bus and down to his.
A lot of console devs have gotten lazier. I remember be able to play 4 player play split screen, now all do is make 2 player games. Yes, I'm looking at you console left 4 dead and borderlands.

There are a number of games, yeah, that don't let you do 4 player splitscreen on console (or only let you do so for certain gamemodes). Or some that don't even do splitscreen (seriously Dead Island, what the forget, you're a perfect splitscreen game).

But at least 2 player split screen on lots of games is better than no split screen for almost all games, as on PC.

both of these are wrong
for example, the xbox one gets 60fps at 720p on battlefield 4, and a $400 PC won't be able to do that
For the first part, I'm talking about at an acceptable resolution. 1280x720 is far from an acceptable resolution nowadays where we've reached 3840x2160.

As for the $400 computer, let's say that BF4 runs at the equivilent of PC's Medium settings at 60fps 720p. A $500 computer can best that. $400 most likely not, but you get that money back very quick through cheaper games and lack of needing to pay for online.

Edit: I apologize for doubleposting.

Where do I sign

Somewhere around here.

One massive negative I see with computer gaming: If you got a friend round, you can easily set up splitscreen on a console game, however with a standard set up its quite hard to keep a guest entertained with a computer game.
This is an issue with games, not with the hardware. Most console games don't have splitscreen anymore either, lol.

not enough

...
Why
Like seriously, WHY?
Are you telling me every single particular button and switch there actually works and does something in-game?

Though that's pretty bloody awesome.
