Cipher decides not to tell her, he thought, "If I didn't tell Myst, then why should I tell Elaine". He says to Elaine, "Well, I'd rather not spoil it any...".
Elaine looks disappointed, "Awh, I was really hoping to get a little preview, but if you wanna save it for the show I'm okay with that". Elaine walks away and goes to talk to another person.
There is one other benefactor that Cipher should probably talk to... however, seeing as Cipher really doesn't want to spoil too much, he decides against it.
Maria pulls Cipher to the side and says, "Okay Ciph... the show begins in a couple minutes. Break a leg!".
Cipher quietly says, "Thanks", and moves to the backstage.
In the backstage the EXO is ready and waiting behind a curtain. Cipher is standing nervously, hoping everything will go well. A stage director cues Cipher on stage and Cipher follows through. Cipher walks on stage and goes up to the mic in the middle.
He starts off by saying, "Hello everyone, thank you for coming. I hope you're all ready for a great sight tonight". The crowd seems quite fascinated and cameras are blinking. Cipher clears his throat and continues, "Today, I present to you all...", the curtain opens wide and reveals the EXO, "The EXO, an exoskeletal mechanized armor varying in many combat abilities. It allows soldiers to get to the frontlines easier and safer, it allows workers in hazardous areas to work regardless of the conditions, and can even provide law enforcement a good foothold in civil unrest".
People in the crowd are oohing and awing, Cipher gives a confident smile. Yet something feels off, something is messing with the balance in the room. Cipher feels it and stops smiling. There's a voice, loud and clear from the back. It's a deep and modulated voice and it booms, "Well, what were to happen if it fell into the wrong hands?". A person in a dark shroud and mask walks down the aisle and stares Cipher down. "What if it were to be used to take down all of humanity?". Everyone is dead silent now, the mysterious rogue continues closer to the stage.
Cipher lets out a bit of a mutter, "W-well, I've thought it over and I never...".
The rogue booms, "Shut up you patheic whelp". The rogue hops up onto the stage and yells, "You are nothing but a boy! You know nothing of right or wrong". People in the crowd are becoming quite worried at this point, worried chatters can be heard.
Cipher backs up closer to the EXO.
"You will unravel the very fabric of this great empire, and everything will be brought to rubble". The figure lifts up its hand. "Therefore you shall be purified from this existence". A bolt of lighting shoots out and hits Cipher knocking him back. Someone in the crowd screams as Ciphers lifeless body falls to the ground.
Two figures, coming from both sides of the stage, appear. Myst's voice is heard from one of the figure, "Okay, enough dark rogue...". The other, a woman dawning similar light armor, Myst yells to, "Tara, what are you doing here!? I thought I told you to hang back".
"Let me handle myself Myst", she looks to the rogue, "Give up now, rogue, because this is where your devious plot ends".
The confident rogue cackles, "Oh no my dear, it has just begun. Once I take the EXO, it will be unfolded from there".
Myst and Tara get into a battle stance.
