Author Topic: How would you mash words together in Sony Vegas 12?  (Read 567 times)

I've seen Youtube Poops where they change the normal dialogue of the character to say something else. How would I do this? Here's an example: http://youtu.be/6Adb-UMvGfM?t=3m13s

I don't have experience with Sony Vegas but in Final Cut Pro, what you do is you separate that portion of the video from the rest of the timeline with the blade tool and remove the audio for that part you just separated. After that, you just place your audio clip underneath it or over it.

I would presume what you do in Sony Vegas would be similar to the steps above.

what i mean is say the actual dialogue says something like, "mothers day." some people change stuff like this to say "motherforgeter" and stuff like that.

find all the syllables you need and splice them together

you go into audacity
find a word that the character says
cut that word out
add it to another sentence
put audio into sony vegas
you then receive toast for your good work

Use a text to speech program that provides you with the audio file and just replace the audio.

Here is a website I found that does that http://www.fromtexttospeech.com

Example:

Cut the part of the audio that says 'mothersday' and replace it with the mp3 you created from the website.
