Spybot S&D is what I'd recommend as a solution to adware.
that thing takes years to start up and scan from what I've seen of it. It is good though, yeah. More for use as an IT tool on a zed computer though.
IMO, it's faster to use
a bunch of cleaning software instead.
This site in particular is a great place to go for looking for malware removal tools and security-related news. The things I've linked before that usually fix most common adware and basic malware problems as well. A few objects I would
not recommend using that are listed on that site, however, are Combofix, and self diagnosis assistants such as Hijackthis because they require more advanced levels of knowledge(especially Combofix, which is meant for IT professionals only because it can and probably will beat the everloving stuff out of your computer if you use it without knowledge of what you're doing).
