Vice and Virtue: Bank Heist is a team based first-person shooter based of the force engine that offers an objective-based versus multiplayer experience where two teams of players each can take on the persona of a cop or a robber. A four-person robber team has several objectives throughout each campaign: Infiltrate the bank, get as much loot as you can carry, and fight your way out to escape. In addition to a large AI-driven police force, four players take the role of police officers and SWAT team members to stop the robbery and protect civilians in the area.

History
Originally created as a Mod in the Source Engine to demonstrate proof-of-concept to publishers back in 2010, developers Controlled Chaos Media had difficulty pitching a smaller title to publishers before the industry was truly responding to the oncoming trends of smaller, polished experiences. Without publisher support, they had to move on to other projects

So, the games dead?

Actually it isnt, recently the developers have decided to begin developing the game again, and so far the game has been on steams greenlight, however, it actually hasn't been greenlit as of yet.

Okay, so how exactly is the game different from payday and other games?

To manage AI civilians from escaping, getting money, keeping player civilians from calling the cops, and so on takes a team effort, In this game you get no cable ties like payday has, instead, however there is a fear system shown here and without the overlay it is shown here hitting civilians will give you points and shut them up, but lower the timer and theres less time for the robbers to get cash unless its a non-AI player, there is also robber and civilian objectives, for example, the robber's objectives are to manage and kill civilian players and grab as much cash as they can, Civilian objectives are to call the cops or email security, or to find a hidden shotgun and kill the robbers, cop objectives are to kill the robbers and to protect civilians

Gameplay (and videos describing the game) :

Okay, im interested, so how can i get it onto steam?

You can vote for it on steam greenlight here :

don't really see what stops the civilian-players from just going for the shotgun/phones etc before the robbers even get in the bank

don't really see what stops the civilian-players from just going for the shotgun/phones etc before the robbers even get in the bank

well, they cant do any of the objectives until the heist starts and theres random spawns

so yeah

will this cost money

haven't heard if so id say maybe 10-15$ or less

I see a perpetually-unfinished-and-buggy steam early access release in this game's future.

If I'm honest, I wouldn't pay money for this even when it's finished, because it doesn't seem to have anything that Payday 2 doesn't offer aside from slightly different mechanics and cop gameplay.
