those look like they would be hexadecimal but they just give me really weird skewed characters

you gave us the wrong code then thats different than the one you posted. oh wait you just addded the file name to the begining

Correct. As the file name is also hex I thought it might be part of a "code" that you have to post here to continue the arg. I made sure to put the full string on its own in the post as well.

THE STRING "c5ca567406ece8e6a0bd199142563 bdd480002dc" IS PROBABLY A SHA1 HASH. SHA1 HASHES ARE 160 BITS LONG, AND GUESS WHAT. SO IS THIS.
