terraria's definitely one of my favorite multiplayer games, not just because it's fun but also because it has a high replayability value.

killed the thread and then revived it

I feel like bumping this partially because I have stuff to add and partially because it needs to be bumped.

One of my favorite all-time games that I forgot about and am absolutely ashamed that I managed to forget about it is the original KoTOR. It's honestly one of my favorite games, and I think it may be in part because I've grown up around RPG's and simply find them great. Everything in KoTOR just, well, fit. Perfectly. It's on that level of quality that the original Star Wars movies had, and it's literally one of the only movie-games that really did a good job. It's unfortunate that some of the things games need that KoTOR had weren't really recognized. I don't think enough developers realize just how important a good soundtrack and story can be. It's really a shining beacon that brings up things that a lot of 'modern' games lack and really would have been better off having.

Bethesda, because I like Elder Scrolls and Wolfenstein
Dice, because Bf2 and Bad Company 2 was off the chizz-ain, yo.
Volition, because Freespace and Saints Row.
Rockstar, because Grand Theft Auto is fun.

My favorite games:
Battlefield 2 with the AIX 2.0, Nations at War 6.0, and Project Reality mods.
Freespace 2 open source

Nintendo
Valve
Step 1 Games LLC

LoZ: The Wind Waker
New Super Mario Bros. Wii
Super Mario Bros. 3
Blockland

Insominac Games: 'cause Ratchet and Clank is lovey. i recently beat the first game again and even if the frame rate was chugging like hell it was still enjoyable.

Bethesda: addicting af games. now that i'm now familar with Fallout as well as TES that train ain't stoppin anytime soon.

Ubisoft: Far Cry 3 and it's sort of DLC Blood Dragon pretty much spells this out. at their best they're really damn good.

Treyarch: someone give these people full ownership to Call of Duty already ffs

Rockstar: there's a reason why i went and got 100% completion for Red Dead Redemption. twice.

squad for ksp
firaxis for civ 5

Betheseda because Morrowind was awesomeeee
Ubisoft for Far cry and the prince of persia 2008 game
Deep Silver for Saints row bling bling
Arkane because dishonored
Rockstar for red deaaad and gta 5
Wolfire because Lugaru and overgrowth, I played those to death, and still do lol

Blockland, of course, will sit comfortably on the top of my lists of longest-lasting involvement and most hours logged.
Cyan Worlds for the Myst series, every game but V. IV is the most immersive and stunning game i've ever seen, still.
badspot and cyan worlds are basically the only people at the moment who i'm actually excited to hear news of new game content from.
Hello Games for No Man's Sky. i don't really know anything about it at all but i'm saving my confusion for when it comes out so i can be clueless.

ok i really like brownie brown and i want to know what happened to them

i rediscovered a rly nostalgic game called "Magical Starsign," and WOW this game is really underrated and has like no fandom. it's not among my favorites, but it's a really creative RPG that I'm enjoying so far.

Used to be BioWare. I'm not surprised I don't see them mentioned in here.

Never really payed much attention to the companies, but I like STALKER, so GSC and THQ is up there.

Rest in piece, THQ. You were there at the beginning (HotWheels: Mechanix) and the end (S.T.A.L.K.E.R.) of my video game addiction.

Nintendo - Their games in general
Bungie - The Halo series
Rockstar - Grand Theft Auto and something else I forgot
Media Molecule - Little Big Planet
Valve - Their games in general
Square Enix - Just Cause 2 and something else I forgot

Little Big Planet 1/2 - Creativity beyond words with a community that (use to) be amazing
Halo: Reach - Loved Forge and played the forget out of online until I reached Field Marshall
Blockland - Almost everything about it
Sims 2/3 - Grew up with Sims 2, love Sims 3 for the architectural creativity and all
Bomberman 64 - Not only fun in general, but the entire game (especially the NPCs) is so humorous for whatever reason
GC Animal Crossing - Grew up with it, still amazing
SSBB - The NPCs are so amusing for some reason, and for being fun in general
(I played the N64 version once or twice, but that was almost a decade ago, so I remember almost nothing about it)

Probably a couple others..

LoZ: The Wind Waker

wind waker was 100% solid until the triforce quest. my disc had scratches, so it froze from time to time. at one point, i had collected a bunch of pieces but the game froze and i hadn't saved because it hadn't done that since i left the first island, so i didn't see it coming at all.

and then i just quit. never beat the game because of the triforce quest.
