Russian Character support?

Are there any mods that will allow me to type in Russian characters in my server? I am learning Russian and I wish to show off what I know on my server. So, If any of you know of anything that will allow me to do so let me know.

That's not possible to do as an add-on, the engine does not support unicode strings.

you can have bitmaps for every russian character and then have it display as a bitmap instead of a string.

it can be clientside. then the person chooses whether or not they want to be annoyed

If it's bitmaps it'll be server-side, or a client-server combo. And if people don't dl the bitmaps they'll get a message of ?'s

only 6 bitmaps per chat
would need a combo to allow more or something

no. The only "normal" letters are

У, к, е, н, з, х, в, а, р, о, с, м, т

But all the others

Й, ц, г, ш, щ, ъ, ф, ы, п, л, д, ж, э, я, ч, и, ь, б, ю, ё

Wont be replaceable

well then you cant do it, cause they wont be able to enter the russian characters in the text field

you could have a replacement character for every russian character, so you would send something like _r{sfaiuhaiuwh} over chat, and the client mod deserializes that to russian character bitmaps

but I'm not sure how you would convert the russian characters they cant enter to the replacement ones to send them

Pretty much as Zeblote said. There's no text support for Cyrillic in torque, so you'd need to either make it client sided or make a server sided mod that puts it as bitmaps.
