Remember Adria Richards? The donglegate girl?
Well read this forbes article:
http://www.forbes.com/sites/deannazandt/2013/03/22/why-asking-what-adria-richards-could-have-done-differently-is-the-wrong-question/
Read the last sentence:
Quote
I’m also looking forward to leaving behind this ugly cultural focus on how women can stop themselves from getting viciously attacked, over and over and over.
And also:
Quote
Does this sound like anything thing else we hear in our culture when women do something “wrong” and are punished for it?

Is it possible that by asking this question, that we’re digitally asking if maybe Adria shouldn’t have been drinking or wearing that short skirt, shouldn’t have been walking home from the subway stop by herself, shouldn’t have walked by that proverbial construction site where she knew she was going to get catcalled and harassed?

I just wanted to let you all know that Forbes has officially succumb to SJW bullstuff.
Making a joke about a dongle in a private conversation off the job to a friend is now literally being compared to rape. Literally. They actually mention rape in talking about the incident.

I guess this is relevant here
to me it seems that a worrying amount of social justice ppl dont have a particularly high concern for human life, like to them us being at war in iraq or wherever was/is only bad bc we were/are killing people who're muslim or middle-eastern or something, while loss of life in general is not an issue for them. if they were white people they would probably not care. it would just be "war is human nature" or somethin. i dont hear about many of them trying to end school shootings or just violence in general UNLESS of course it is violence against a minority (even if they are not a minority where the violence is happening)
it kinda gets on my nerves cus imo war is a bigger deal than social prejudice. like YES people getting killed over their race or loveuality or gender needs to be ended. but if someone hates gay people is that really more important than the fact that we spend billions of dollars on something that is like 90% about killing? and I don't even think im particularly out of line saying that cus I AM gay. so I have some perspective on it
idk. I think I kinda. got off subject a little there

It's not like it's Jezebel, Slate, The Sun, Kotaku, or even the Huffington Post or Dailymail posting that overhearing a loveual innuendo is comparable to rape, it's Forbes.
It's loving Forbes
doing this stuff now. What mainstream publications exist that don't do this stuff yet?

Uh, well. I guess they have their own brand of stuff. Everyone does.

This makes me wish that feminists were right and gender differences really were socially constructed.
But I'm kinda afraid that might not be true. If it's not, that means half our population has no practical use.
