Author Topic: Need Blockland Windows files  (Read 1889 times)

Hi, i use a mac, but i need the Blockland files for a VPS i'm using, i pretty much need everything except Add-ons, config and saves. If someone would be so kind as to upload them somewhere and post them here since i can't install blockland in the server, since servers have no visual drivers.

LEAVE OUT YOUR KEY.DAT FILE PLEASE, I HAVE MY OWN, BUT MANY DON'T

Just download them from the website....

That's the point, i can't. I can download the launcher, but i can't use the launcher to download the files, since the launcher won't start, since, as i mentioned before, server machines don't have drivers

the key.dat file wouldn't do anything anyway
it's tied to the computer it's on

there should be a way to enter your key in a dedicated server though

here's a simple python script i wrote to download Blockland files for this exact reason:

https://github.com/ottosparks/blocklandLaunch

just do like

python blocklandLaunch.py -p ./butt

It's funny that you think that, but in fact, but infact, there are applications circling everywhere to extract keys from .dat files, even i have one of those

Thanks a lot man :)

You need a second key.dat file from the same computer for it to work, though.

Someone should man up and write a program that only needs the key.dat and the computer it was created on. Would save alot of trouble explaining how to recover a key from an old computer.

and do they actually work?
as in taking a key.dat from a different computer and trying to get the key from it

You'll need more info than the key.dat.

that's what I thought
and that's what dannu says is wrong
I'm asking if he properly tested it or not

It's not an issue of manning up, I could do it right now if I wanted. It's an issue of the massive abuse potential something like that incurs. The more steps, the less likely something will be abused.

What abuse potential is there if it only works on your own computer?, as in you have to run it yourself?
