smf makes a default forum thing for you, then you have to add your own theme and such
or atelast i think thats how it works

it's just software
you install it on a website, which is pretty easy
then you can customize it, and yes there is a default theme
I have PHPbb on my website (which is better than SMF and isn't terrible, like SMF is, and it's still active, unlike SMF), but I think technically it would be against the rules to link it
badspot, afaik, made this theme himself, though. so it'd probably be some trouble to replicate it
