then why would you want sql as a scripting language
I'm like 99% sure it was kidding, just like half of the posts in this topic

Voting "Lua" because it's the next-best thing to Java. You should have put Java in the poll dude. Nobody is gonna know that you actually mean NSACP or whatever that is.

i'd like to see blockland using F# if that can even be used for games.
maybe Ceylon

you kids and your forgetin imaginary hipster languages

maybe Ceylon
Code: [Select]
Html html = Html {
   doctype = html5;
   Head { title = "Ceylon: home page"; };
   Body {
      H2 ( "Welcome to Ceylon ``language.version``!" ),
      P ( "Now get your code on :)" )
   };
};
wtf

kinda sounds strange, although ceylon is meant for web designing (hence being built off of html, css, and php), it still is possible to use it as a language for software development.

My obvious preference is Lua, but I wouldn't mind JavaScript.

I feel like you're just trying to seem edgy / smart by referencing random languages saying you'd prefer them.

F# could be used, but there is absolutely no reason you'd want to use it.
Ceylon would be loving terrible as a scripting language. It doesn't make any sense to use in a gaming application.

Perl. Does that make me cool?

No, but you might be a descendant of Satan.
