it was never completed
besides sketchup doesnt support nodes or bones, so that makes it useless for pretty much everything except static shapes on its own
just make the mesh in sketch, export to .3ds, and do the rest in blender
you need pro to do 3ds. Also dea importer on blender doesnt import the files right.
OP, download and install an OBJ exporter for skethcup. That way just export you models to OBJ and import the to blender
