Author Topic: Elder Scrolls Online - Who has it?  (Read 1153 times)

Just a quick little post to see who's got Elder Scrolls online and plays on EU servers?
Let me know if you do :)

it is actually quite terrible

I'm not asking about your opionins.

The reason people don't like it is because they think it's like Skyrim online or some bullstuff, then they realise it's a conventional mmorpg and do not like it.

didn't know you were still around

ot;
i planned on getting it but after talking with friends who have it, it just doesnt seem worth it.  not a bad game, just not worth a monthly subscription

the fact is, it would be better off as a skyrim clone rather an mmorpg. I realize there is stuff they HAVE to do, they can't just slap skyrim all over it. Even though that would've been more successful, a coop skyrim holy stuff. But still, I've got 30 hours into it. And I don't like it.

The reason people dont like it is because its a generic RPG that ignores TES lore and just slaps the TES name on it

you had a topic a while ago right? maybe the people that posted play as well
i know sir dooble does i think

Yeah, I do. And Furdle and I played together for a few hours before. He likes to comment on which NPCs he finds attractive.

It ignores some of the lore, but honestly its no more than than each game in the series ignores.
For example, there are TES fans who adamantly complain about Oblivion, because it didn't depict Cyrodiil as being covered in forests, despite TES1/2 describing it as being covered in dense rainforest.

There's so much of the game that does match pre established lore, and the changes to lore are forgivable or difficult to notice. There are a lot of diehard fans who will go at it with a fine toothed comb looking for every tiny inconsistency. And they will do the exact same thing when TES:6 comes out too..

But other than that I think it really does deliver an authentic Elder Scrolls experience packaged with a high quality blend of MMORPG and TES gameplay.

And I'm not asking your permission to give it

Not sure what qualifies you to speak on everyone's behalf, but the reason I don't like it is because I think the gameplay is terrible in its own right (not compared to the rest of the series).

come on people, he's literally asking "who has it", not for reviews
it's not that you can't state your opinion, it's a forum. but it just feels so out of place here

I didnt read Bolt's comment and have my mind blown that someone would comment on the quality of the game Furdle is asking to play... It absolutely is not out-of-place and the way you worded it comes across as especially dramatic
