Avalonian ships attend the island in hopes of making a profit.  The iron research is, as of yet, not some widespread thing.  Even Avalonia's steady iron industry hasn't done much more than start to implement it yet; give it some time.

Hlaohamarr sends a diplomatic envoy to Atenisia and Lotavik requesting trade rights within their harbors.

Where are you located?

A large meteor the size of the trading port in the central islands slams into the port and destroys everything

Wtf is this political advancement I don't even 710BC

Lotavik accepts, asking the same in return.

I take that as a void. The better port was just built as a replacement port near the capital of Atenisia.

We do that, asking the same in return as well (for Oasis' request).

Posting that for you and in case Mikoyan closed out our steam chat and lost the link. :P

We accept the terms.

Not sure if Swat's right and that's just been voided, but if literal...
Avalonians take this as a punishment from the Gods for continuing to deal with this less honorable people and cultural exchanges with Atensia drop once again after the brief thaw.  Normal trade continues, however.

Avalonia sends a force of 2,500 men and over 7,000 horses into the lands to the North to open up trade once again after a local leader united several fiefdoms and interrupted Avalonian shipping and stuff with Espul and the East and failed to respond favorably to the Avalonian non-military response.  The force is also supplied with wagons, some filled with arrows, others with tents and food, and still others with nothing in the expectation of bringing back some loot.   Unless there are major hiccups in the campaign, Avalonia intends to go all the way to the coast.  Scouts have indicated that the area has beaten paths throughout, but no real roads, and that the enemy's force consists mainly of the sort of stuff Ormica has.

Hey can we help?
:)

A rapid expansion south along the coast occurs.

arent you in a war with albition

Avalonians just blamed the Gods sending a giant rock from the heavens to annihilate Avalonians on those Avalonians having dealings with the less honorable Atensians.  Your offer is appreciated, but no thank you.

Avalonian warships are sent to blockade enemy waters and take/sink enemy vessels, as well as make sure that trade can continue with reasonable safety.

No. They are just standing there doing stuff.

Our soldiers are kinda having a stare fight I guess.

its not smart to expand while on the brink of war

Oh yes, of course.

We stop sudden expansion for farmland and focus on training our men again (we were doing it the whole time they were staring at us).
