Author Topic: good mmos that are free/don't cost much/old  (Read 1888 times)

title says.

i'm really looking for a good virtual world to dive into, school starts soon and i need something to play. i don't want to it to be too system intensive.

free games should be fair and balanced and not have a lot of challenges or difficulties put in place to make you pay money. i can spend a few bucks on a game, but not 4000.

games that don't cost a lot should be good for their price at least. price limit is 25 dollars.

old games should be at least from 2004 and be fun even to people who are used to other titles.

i guess i got a little jealous of my brother having the elder scrolls online. he lets me play a lot of it but i need something that i can play at home.

yeah i've heard good things about it. in fact a couple of kids at my own school played it on their laptops when they had freetime. it looked fun, but i'm pretty sure you have to throw a lot of your hard earned emone to have fun.

i never paid anything for it and i had a pretty great time

i will try it out then. but do you guys know if the original guild wars is any good? i've heard no one plays it.

there's a couple of games i'm really interested

Guild Wars GOTY

no problem m8 im always here to help

If you find runescape fun, when I used to be a paid member the amount of content it added was simply overwhemling and I was always doing something new.

If you have fun with it, dont be afraid to toss some bank at it. (As long as its still $5 a month or whatever)
I always had fun with the Castle Wars (or somethin) gamemode, and there were always plenty of ways to make serious bank.

age of time? idk i havent even seen the game in action though. its free and old lol

Its 8 a month now but the old Runescape version that we all remembered (Up until just before the market update that broke everything) Is going to be become a separate free to play version that will receive its own updates completely separate from the current version that people pay money for. You get full everything from it and it apparently took them until very recently to actually do this, my god.

I would totally play runescape if they didn't poison it with the pay to win mechanics

SWTOR is a good one, optional subscription, but most things locked by it are cosmetic. Not all of them unfortunately, but it is still totally possible to have a great time with it.

can you guys rec some good pay-one mmos? i know there are some out there.
