i have 1 or 2 sodas each week except for when my mom buys me these sparkling fruit drink things and they're super good (with 0 calories and a bunch of vitamins too .w.)
i cut back on soda consumption because i wanted to lose weight (esp since i can't be as active due to my joints) but i haven't seen any change on the scale, i've just kept at a pretty steady weight and it frustrates me kinda
try to stop drinking soda entirely, drink ice cold water frequently, reduce grain portions. You could try to exercise more, I hear it reduces joint point. Invest in a mountain bike for a more upright position, a decent one can usually be found in the 300-400 section. If not you could probably invest in a cheaper bike. Ride start riding for 15 minutes for a few weeks. Then work your way up to 25 and 30 minutes. Work your way up to over time and set your own goals.
Stretching helps as well. 2% milk is pretty harmless, you could try Almond milk or Soy milk if you have problems with lactose or if you want to feel healthier.
