Author Topic: Google made a change to YouTube [it's not BAD or anything]  (Read 1780 times)

it does??
Maybe on a 1200x700 monitor or something, but on full HD it's like half the screen wide.

why do they keep changing how it looks instead of adding something useful
because everyone else would complain that they are never updating the site and not taking care of their visitors.

they will keep updating it because they are trying to perfect everything. make it easy as hell to navigate and trying to keep with todays standard look.

my monitor is 1920 x 1080

I don't really care about the updates for better or worse, but do wonder why they keep making them?
Why do anything if no one asks you to?
taking the initiative to do stuff on their own or w/e

Yeah, let me just take the initiative to repaint my house a slightly different shade of white every other week.

go for it bro. it's your money. u could paint ur house a bright shade of red one week and then do a very elaborate camo the next. follow your dreams man.

I also noticed they put video ads in the middle of videos. It's so annoying.

my youtube has been like this and the size of the video by default is the medium size

idk how to make it small again

Because it's barely any effort and better design = more users

Because things need to have a fresh look to avoid going out of date? If they didn't constantly update how it looked, it'd look like this still:

Also, DrenDran, the internet is a fast-paced organism that's changing by the day. It requires a lot of work to keep at the edge of that and not fall behind. Sites that fail to adapt end up like MySpace.

I hate the stuff out of the HTML5 player in general thanks to the fact there's no way to opt out of using it dammit.

Why would you want to opt out? The HTML5 player is faster, integrates better with your browser, and has more features. Flash technology is old and most sites only support it as legacy nowadays.

why don't they make it so that the theater mode player actually makes the loving video bigger instead of just centering it and putting a black box around it
It depends on the maximum resolution of the video. It does actually make it bigger, as long as there's a resolution to match.

For some reason windows 8, my wifi adapter, and HTML5 don't seem to mix. I tried redownloading the drivers and everything and it still makes a big mess where it'll conflict and turn off my adapter, making me lose internet connection. As far as I've seen, the only solution I can find is using Flash, so yeah.
this only started when windows 8 got installed, so maybe I should blame that instead, idk

idk if there is a way but i can't even loving reach my channel anymore, i dont think its possible

i do not understand this sentence

every "youtube update thread" i see is late compared to mine, i look forward to new updates and then i see you guys have just gotten the "old" update :(
