i havent been that bad in over a year. usually i just get drunk to the point where im somewhat tipsy and incoherent.

It's the fact that you are getting that drunk regularly that worries me.
I mean I drink pretty often and getting smashed is fun and all but I could count on my hands the amount of times I've been so drunk that I'd have people helping me and me being a gibbering slump.
It's no ones place here to tell you what to do but that stuffs unhealthy man, both physically and mentally.
